Lenny Kravitz has both feet safely on the ground.
After a private plane traveling from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas crashed into a Florida neighborhood mid-flight on Nov. 1—killing all nine people on board—reports began to circulate that the beloved singer had been one of the passengers.
Kravitz’s rep Carleen Donovan, however, told BocaNewsNow that such reports are “untrue and incorrect.”
The confusion arose after a female pilot, who was misidentified as the pilot of the downed plane, had shared a since-deleted message to social media sharing she was to fly Kravitz from Austin to the Bahamas, per Page Six. But while the route and date were similar, their plane journey was not the one which ended in such tragedy.
Instead, one of the co-pilots of the crashed Learjet 60 plane has been identified by her father as Nathalia Filgueiras. The identities of the other eight passengers aboard have yet to be shared.
The crash resulted, as seen in footage of the accident, in a crater in the middle of a road near Cresthaven, Florida. The site was engulfed in flames in some photos of the accident.
