Ramayana LA Premiere Review (English Version): Nitesh Tiwari starrer Ramayana is one of the biggest releases of 2026 and there are no second thoughts about it. Featuring a stellar cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Ravi Dubey, Lara Dutta, Sunny Deol, Vivek Oberoi, Rakul Preet Singh etc, Ramayana is a mythological epic which is based on Valmiki’s Ramayana. From the first look poster to teaser, cast and even the trailer, everything about Ramayana has been creating headlines.

Interestingly, Ramayana is touted to be one of the most expensive movies of Indian cinema which is made with a budget of Rs 4000cr. Marking Ranbir Kapoor’s return to the big screen after three years, Ramayana also marks his first collaboration with Sai Pallavi and Yash. This isn’t all. Yash, who will be seen playing thee role of Ravana in Ramayana, also happens to be the co-producer of the film and but he also has the theatrical distribution rights in Karnataka for the movie. This isn’t all. As the makers are leaving no stone unturned to bask in the buzz around Ramayana, the makers had organised a grand premiere of the movie in Los Angeles lately.
Ramayana LA Premiere Review (English Version)
Interestingly, Ramayana witnessed a grand response during its premiere in LA. As per a tweet going viral on social media stated, “A hugely ambitious film mounted on a grand scale, and the effort behind it is clearly visible. The team largely stays true to the Ramayana, but the film leans more on spectacle and action than drama and emotion, leaving parts of the narration feeling flat and even serial like at times. The second half also drags in places because of where Part 1 chooses to end, with limited material stretched out through lengthy action blocks that don’t create much impact”. Another user wrote, “#Ramayana gets its first wave of ratings and the reactions are getting interesting 👀 A 3.5 star rating with the verdict calling it a grandiose spectacle that succeeds as pure cinematic escapism”. Besides, it is also reported that while the runtime of Ramayana is 3 hours and 15 minutes, the duration is reduced by 30 minutes for the English version
#Ramayana gets its first wave of ratings and the reactions are getting interesting 👀A 3.5 star rating with the verdict calling it a grandiose spectacle that succeeds as pure cinematic escapism.Looks like the film is aiming for a larger than life experience with breathtaking visuals and epic scale. But can the spectacle match the emotional power of the Ramayana itself? 🏹The debate is just getting started.

Ramayana LA Premiere Review: What’s People Didn’t Like?
A detailed first impression further revealed that what isn’t working in favour of Ramayana is the music. The tweet read as, “The visuals are stunning in parts and the money spent is clearly visible, but some scenes still have a noticeable studio/green screen feel with a few cartoonish asuras. The biggest negative, hands down, is the music. For a story like Ramayana, the score has to carry much of the divinity and emotion, but the Indian-Hollywood blend largely backfires and ends up feeling like neither apart from a few scenes. The ambition and scale deserve a lot of applause. Definitely watchable and better than a few recent adaptations, but it falls short of the massive expectations and ultimately feels like a mixed bag with so much more potential”.

EXCLUSIVE — #Ramayana Inside Report The screenplay of #RamayanaPart1 feels SLOW AND WEAK.Both Ram and Ravans entry blocks are 15 MINS LONG. The Sita–Ram conversation, Arrow sequence & Ravan fight LACK IMPACT.Lara Dutta & Sheeba Chaddha STAND OUT despite brief roles. Arun Govil, Rakul Preet, Kunal Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi & RD fail to leave an impression. The Swayamvar scene & a few songs are GOOD. But once Vanvaas begins, its all DOWNHILL.The scale of action is VERY BIG, but some sequences lack the required impact. Lanka visuals are NOT SATISFACTORY.BGM & Music are DECENT, but the emotional connection is missing.SP is a drawback. You never truly feel the PAIN of the abduction and the suffering that follows. The Jatayu scene may make some FEEL PAIN as he struggles hard.Rishi Agastya & the AMOGH scene are GOOD.Ayodhya, Chitrakoot, Lanka & Mithla are the only four major locations. The BUDGET DOESNT LOOK JUSTIFIED.Ram Setu scene… THE END!Religious audiences may NOT BE IMPRESSED with the film. The film may win VISUALLY & TECHNICALLY, but the casting and emotional connection are NOT UP TO THE MARK.FINAL VERDICT: SCALE WINS. SOUL LOSES.

Ramayana Climax Review
Furthermore, there have ben speculations about who among Yash and Ranbir stole the show in Ramayana. Well, while Yash’s performance as Ravana has been the highlight of Ramayana, Ranbir’s performance is also quite solid. “Acting of #Yash & #RanbirKapoor made everyone go CRAZY,” a tweet read.
This isn’t all. The initial reviews also dropped hints about the climax of Ramayana which is touted to be a ‘cliffhanger’ which leaves audience amazed. “The CLIFFHANGER at the End is being discussed which shocked them which introduces #SunnyDeol as Hanuman ji,” a user tweeted.
