Udta Teer Opening Weekend Box Office Collection: Ayushmann Khurrana is here with his first release of the year and it has definitely got the audience talking. We are talking about Udta Teer which is a spy comedy and is directed by debutant Aakash Kaushik. Also starring Sara Ali Khan in the lead, Udta Teer marks her second collaboration with Ayushmann after Pati Patni Aur Woh Do which did an average business at the box office. Interestingly, Udta Teer also features Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Mukul Dev, Suhail Nayyar, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Brijendra Kala in supporting roles.

For the uninitiated, Udta Teer revolves around a Pakistani spy who gets injured during his secret mission in India and suffers from amnesia which leaves him believing that he is a patriotic Indian officer. This leads to a roller coaster laughter ride which leaves the audience in splits. In fact, renowned film critic Sumit Kadel gave it a 4 star rating and tweeted, “Udta Teer is one of the most unique, entertaining and intelligently written and directed films of 2026”. He also wrote, “It’s a damn good film – the best of #AyushmannKhurrana post-pandemic & one of #DharmaProductions’ best in recent years”. Interestingly, Udta Teer witnessed a good hike in the numbers during the weekend.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Udta Teer saw an over 11% hike in numbers on the first Sunday (day 3) and earned Rs 8.1cr. This took the overall collection to Rs 19.45cr nett and Rs 23.08cr gross after the opening weekend. However, the movie failed to touch the Rs 25cr mark after 3 days of release

Given the fact that it is a working day, Udta Teer is expected to see a significant dip in numbers and is likely to earn around Rs 3-4cr today (day 4/ first Monday) which will take the overall collection close to Rs 25cr mark. As of now, the movie had raked in Rs 17 lakhs only in India.
