Love Is Blind Season 11 Netflix: Love Is Blind Season 11, featuring Boston singles, is slowly inching towards its finale, and the drama is reaching new heights with only a few episodes left. As the couples step out of the pods and begin navigating their relationships in the real world, several dynamics have shifted dramatically.

One of the most talked-about developments involves Jax (Jacqueline Guelli) and Stew (Scott Stewart), whose relationship took an unexpected turn in the real world.
Love Is Blind Season 11: Why Did Jax Ghost Stew After Their Engagement?
From the very beginning in the pods, Jax and Stew’s relationship seemed to be built more on practicality than romance. Despite the odds, the two formed a connection and got engaged, hoping to take their relationship forward beyond the experiment. However, once they met face-to-face and entered the real world, things did not turn out the way either might have expected.

While Stew was excited to finally meet his fiancée, Jax struggled to feel the same connection and eventually walked away from the experiment without speaking to him again. Looking back, she revealed that her doubts had started even before their first meeting. “I had doubts because of the proposal,” she says. “So that’s when I started to see some cracks in how I felt, and it started to feel wrong then.”

Meeting in person only made her reservations stronger. Speaking to PEOPLE, Jax described the encounter as emotionally overwhelming and admitted she could not sense the chemistry she had hoped for. “When we did actually meet, it was incredibly intense and overwhelming for me,” she recalls. “And I think when I sat down, I kind of realized, you know, there’s no chemistry or connection here. And I had to go.”
Stew, on the other hand, had no idea the relationship was about to end. The sudden turn of events left him shocked, as he admitted he was “absolutely blindsided in the moment” and “did not anticipate that.”
“I didn’t see it coming. Definitely caught me off guard,” he says. Jax later offered more insight into what went wrong during their first meeting in an interview with Netflix Tudum. She revealed that Stew’s demeanour did not match what she had imagined while they were getting to know each other in the pods. “He just seemed really cocky in a way, and I was like, ‘OK, this is not what I was expecting,'” she says. “He was like, ‘So what do you think about me?’ It felt douchey.”
He spent 10 days falling for a woman hed never seen. Then he proposed by telling her shed be marrying “one of the most handsome men to have ever existed.”She saw his face for the first time and asked to go home. She wouldnt even sit down and talk to him first.Funny thing is, Stew really is a good-looking guy. Psychologists figured out back in the 90s why that wasnt enough to save him, and it explains a lot of bad first dates.Back in 1996, a researcher named Joseph Walther wrote about something he called the hyperpersonal effect. When you cant see someone, your brain fills in everything youre missing with your own ideal. Their laugh and their stories end up attached to a face you basically designed yourself.Almost 20 years later, a team led by Artemio Ramirez tested this on online daters across the country. A little messaging before the first date helped. But past a certain point, somewhere around 17 to 23 days of talking, more messaging actually made the first meeting go worse. People had built someone up in their heads, and the real person had to walk in and compete with that. And those people had profile photos to go on. On Love Is Blind you get a frosted wall. The show packs about 20 dates and 30-plus hours of conversation into 10 days, some of them three or four hours long, and nobody sees anybody. The creator, Chris Coelen, calls it “10 days of 24/7 intensive therapy.”Then Stew made it worse for himself. That proposal line put her expectations at the absolute ceiling. And when they finally met, he mentioned the guys on the other side had nicknamed him “Kennedy.”Theres a whole theory for what happens next. Judee Burgoons expectancy violations theory says your reaction to someone depends on how far off your mental picture was. Show up below the picture and it lands as a letdown, even if you look great. Her reply to the Kennedy line pretty much proves it. “Please. More like Mitt Romney.”Think about that swap for a second. She traded one square-jawed, dark-haired politician in a suit for another one, and Romneys no troll. She was telling him he wasnt the guy hed described. Shed already told him as much with “Youre not really what I was expecting.”Later she told E! News it had nothing to do with his looks. She said the proposal felt like he was “winging it,” and meeting face to face showed her a different side of him. Thats the research playing out in real time. His face and his whole in-person energy hit her at once, and she checked all of it against 10 days of imagination.Netflix basically built a machine for this. You get ten days of pumping up expectations, then cameras on the exact moment they hit reality. Stew just pumped his own up more than anyone. So if youve got a first date coming up, say a little less about yourself than you want to. Let them picture someone slightly less impressive than you, and then walk in.
