Rehan is said to be from Eidgah Colony in Sonipat, Haryana. His mother, Samsida, reportedly works in a factory. Reports about his background have also referred to an earlier firearm-related case, which allegedly surfaced around four to five months before the current developments.
According to the available accounts, Rehan’s mother had arranged bail for him in connection with that earlier matter. He was reportedly arrested in Gohana on August 19 for allegedly possessing an illegal firearm.
Rehan’s maternal aunt, Afsana, has also spoken about his life. She said he had studied up to Class 9 and later worked as a welder after being released from jail. According to her account, he eventually left home, telling the family that he was going out for work.

Those identified in reports include a minor from Haryana and Hrithik Kumar, also known as Roshan, who reportedly worked as a Rapido rider in Mumbai. Investigators are examining the alleged roles of the accused and trying to establish the motive behind the incident.
