Actor, politician, producer and now director, Bengali superstar Dev is all set to embark on a new journey in Bengali cinema with DeSu7. Marking his directorial debut, the film reunites him with Subhashree Ganguly, his real-life ex-lover, while Anirban Bhattacharya takes on the role of the menacing antagonist.
The film also features a star-studded ensemble cast, including Kanchan Mullick, Priyanka Sarkar, Rajatabha Dutta and Aparajita Adhya in pivotal roles.
In a first for Bengali cinema, advance ticket bookings for DeSu7 reportedly opened selectively at certain theatres nearly nine months ahead of its release. Full-fledged advance bookings began just two to three days ago, further building anticipation for the film’s theatrical debut.
The Dev-Subhashree starrer has now added another milestone to its advance booking campaign. For the first time in Bengali cinema, DeSu7 has introduced exclusive film-branded seats on the District by Zomato app. During the booking process, select seats temporarily display the #DeSu7 logo, creating a distinctive digital promotional feature ahead of the film’s release.

DeSu7 Advance Booking: How Much Has The Film Earned So Far?
The Durga Puja festive spirit has already begun to sweep across Bengal, setting the stage for a major box-office clash for Bengali cinema lovers. While The Eken: Kerala E Kurukshetra, Bohurupi 2 and Emperor vs Sharat Chandra arrived in cinemas today, DeSu7 is gearing up for its theatrical debut tomorrow (Friday, October 16).
According to Sacnilk’s latest update, with just a day left before its release, Dev and Subhashree Ganguly’s DeSu7 has recorded advance bookings worth ₹94.56 lakh across six show dates, including blocked seats. Excluding block bookings, the pre-sales figure stands at ₹63.47 lakh. Friday, October 16, is leading the advance booking charts with ₹38.10 lakh in sales, while several shows have already been marked housefull.
