Premanand Maharaj Controversy: The controversy surrounding the suspicious death of Premanand Maharaj’s disciple Rasik Dulari Sharan, also known as Deepak Lodhi, has sparked a strong reaction from storyteller Aniruddhacharya. With questions and claims surrounding the incident continuing to circulate on social media and news platforms, Aniruddhacharya has now come out in support of Premanand Maharaj.
During one of his recent discourses, Aniruddhacharya spoke about the discussions surrounding Premanand Maharaj and his ashram. He questioned the way some people and media platforms have been discussing the matter without, according to him, properly checking the facts. His comments have now caught attention on social media, with a video from his discourse going viral.

Aniruddhacharya strongly backed Premanand Maharaj while speaking about the controversy. He said that the saint has played an important role in connecting crores of people with Sanatan Dharma and the path of devotion.
He also spoke about Premanand Maharaj’s health and said that despite his serious health issues, the saint continues to give discourses and work for the welfare of society. Aniruddhacharya questioned the idea of holding a saint responsible for the death of another person.
“Everyone in this world has to die one day, but how is it fair to hold a saint responsible for the death of one particular person?” a News18 (Hindi) report quoted him saying.

He also expressed his anger at sections of the media and people posting videos on social media. He alleged that some people are discussing the matter mainly to increase their TRPs and views.
“Today, the media and some people are saying anything about saints only to increase their TRPs and views. Without understanding the depth of the matter and without conducting any investigation, they themselves become judges and start giving their verdicts,” Aniruddhacharya said.

Aniruddhacharya further described the situation with the phrase “Vinash Kale Vipreet Buddhi.” He criticised what he called the unnecessary harassment and disrespect of saints and said that insulting saints is a major sin.
He also urged people not to blindly believe rumours or unverified claims circulating online. According to him, people should understand the facts before forming an opinion and should maintain respect and dignity while discussing saints.
