As reported by USA Today, Eckhart’s mother discovered her body in the bathtub. The publication, citing an officer at the scene, reported that Eckhart had a “large laceration” on the front of her throat/neck, while a folding pocketknife was found near her right hand.
Eckhart had spent seven years working at Fox Business before leaving the network. She came into the spotlight in 2020 after filing a lawsuit against former Fox News colleague Ed Henry, accusing him of sexually assaulting her “violently” during their time working at the network.
