Lanterns Episode 8 (Finale) Release Updates: With just one episode remaining, excitement surrounding the Lanterns finale has reached a fever pitch. The HBO DC series, created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof and Tom King, is set to wrap up its debut season after premiering in August.
However, one major mystery still hangs over the final chapter – what really happened to Hal Jordan in Rushville, Nebraska, in 2026? With the truth yet to be revealed, the unanswered question is expected to take center stage in the season finale.
Lanterns Episode 8 Finale Preview (Spoiler): What To Expect?
Starring Aaron Pierre as John Stewart and Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan, Lanterns Season 1 is heading into its finale with plenty of unanswered questions and potential twists.
Titled “Dirt and Stars,” the Episode 8 preview has already sparked intense curiosity. The teaser shows Sinestro questioning the Lantern Corps’ belief that fear should never be embraced, while hinting at his own views on the power of fear. The footage also appears to connect to Hal Jordan’s possible resurrection after John discovers his buried body, with the alien cloning technology introduced earlier in the season potentially playing a role.
Meanwhile, a new fan theory has emerged following Episode 7, focusing on a surprising possibility for John Stewart. Rather than predicting his death, some DC fans believe the finale could take his story in a very different direction. The theory suggests that Sinestro could hand John a newly created yellow ring and persuade him to embrace its power, potentially turning Stewart into the first Yellow Lantern.Starring Aaron Pierre as John Stewart and Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan, Lanterns Season 1 is heading into its finale with plenty of unanswered questions and potential twists.
The Lanterns finale has a lot to carry (Kerry?), but based on what’s been established on the show and some of the swings it’s been taking, I don’t see John Stewart becoming Green Lantern by the end. It’ll be controversial as hell, but…I think he gets a yellow ring. #Lanterns
