Mustafa Burmawala, best known for Machine alongside Kiara Advani, is now gearing up to entertain audiences with his new film 3 Monkeys. The actor will be seen in a completely different avatar in the upcoming thriller, which is directed by the popular filmmaker duo Abbas-Mustan. The makers recently gave audiences the first glimpse of the film by unveiling its first poster and teaser on social media.
Mustafa has been introduced as Akbar, while Vishal Jethwa plays Amar and Tenzin Dalha plays Anthony. Arjun Rampal is also part of the film and will be seen as Sanjay.
For Mustafa, being part of an Abbas-Mustan film is clearly one of the biggest attractions. The actor says he is excited about the project and believes the thriller has something different in store for the audience.
“I’m really excited to be a part of 3 Monkeys, especially because it is an Abbas-Mustan film. They have created some of the most memorable thrillers, so getting an opportunity to work with them is very special for me. This film has a very interesting and different thriller story, and I’m sure audiences are going to enjoy the twists and turns. I’m really looking forward to seeing how viewers react to it.”
The teaser also hints at the kind of world 3 Monkeys is set in. It begins with the familiar image of the Three Wise Monkeys before introducing Amar, Akbar and Anthony as three masked men. The trio appear to be caught up in something dangerous, but there is also a playful and carefree side to their personalities.
The film’s promotional campaign takes inspiration from the popular philosophy of “Bura Mat Dekho, Bura Mat Suno, Bura Mat Bolo.” However, 3 Monkeys gives the idea a modern twist with the new mantra, “Sab Dekho. Apni Suno. Bekhauf Bolo.”
While the posters have introduced the three central characters, the makers have not revealed much about the actual story. The mystery around Amar, Akbar and Anthony has only increased after the motion poster, leaving viewers wondering what exactly the trio are up to. Are they planning a robbery or a heist, or is there something much bigger behind their actions? The film is expected to keep its thriller elements under wraps until its release.
3 Monkeys is scheduled to release in cinemas worldwide on December 4, 2026.
